The Wallingford-Swarthmore School Board held their reorganization meeting online again, the video is on their Youtube channel here.

Comments to the board from the community mostly regarded Covid. The last comment, however, covered the work of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion committee. Recently the Big Idea and Moving the Needle groups sent out emails calling on their members to contact the board about some aspects of the DEI presentation last month. Kelly Wachtman gave a response from the board about the selection of the consultants appointed to do the equity audit. The district reached an agreement with Thom Stecher and Associates to cancel the equity audit they planned to do and will reconsider a partner to do the equity audit. She noted that this will delay the equity audit.

After some of his own comments, David Grande ended the reorganization meeting and then opened a special meeting (same Youtube stream). In the special meeting the board agreed the WSEA collective bargaining agreement.
