The Chester County health department (which is managing Delaware County’s Covid response due to a lack of our own health department), has a page for vaccination information here. Later today the page says the vaccination interest form will be returning there.

The state has recently made a decision to everyone 65+ years old in the 1-A vaccination group, the highest priority. This sounds good, but it should be highlighted that group 1-B includes:

• Firefighters
• Teachers
• Law enforcement and corrections officers
• Sanitation and facilities workers
• Transit staff
• Post office staff

So all of these people will get in line behind those 65+ now. Given the scarcity of the vaccine, this will result in delays to re-opening schools as teachers are now among those moving further back in line. So keep this in mind when you hear the news.
