The Delaware County District Attorney’s Office received a multi-year Safe Schools grant. In the past this grant has been distributed to schools in the county for physical safety items like locks and cameras. This year, however, they are investing in mental and behavioral health services. WHYY had a piece on it over the weekend quoting an number of local officials. The District Attorney’s office is using part of the grant this year to assess how children access mental health resources. As part of these efforts the consulting firm the county has engaged has created a survey for families that you can fill out here to gather information from the community.
