This morning was a busy one for Nether Providence’s public works. There were at least two clean-ups in addition to the tree planting at Hepford Park. We had a number of families join us to dig in the dirt, plant trees and rescue errant worms. Commissioners Max Cooper and Micah Knapp were there (Micah brought donuts) with their families as well as commissioner candidate Rebecca Gerber and township manager Dave Grady. It was probably the nicest day we’ve had in the time I’ve helped with this bi-annual event and there were multiple teams using the fields for practice. We planted nine new trees that will eventually shade the edges of Hepford Park.
