Rep. Krueger’s email had a lot of news of local interest this week. There were several upcoming events:
Unity Day of South Media is coming up on Saturday, August 28th. This event in Sapovitts Park is always a lot of fun for all ages.
On August 31st at 7 pm, Sen. Kane and others are hosting a memorial vigil in honor of Overdose Awareness Day at the Delaware County Courthouse in Media.

On Sept. 10th, Rep. Krueger is holding a seniors breakfast in Brookhaven. You need to RSVP, but she’ll be available to help constituents out.
On October 9th, Rep. Krueger is holding a pet expo from 11 am to 1 pm at the Folsom Athletic Club.
On October16th from 9 am until noon Rep. Krueger and Sen. Kane are hosting a shredding (up to 4 boxes) and drug take back (for unused medications) event at Northley Middle School in Aston, PA.
And on October 21st from 11 am to 2 pm, our Rep. Krueger and Sen Kane are hosting a veterans luncheon at Aston Legion Post 926. Registration is required.
Rep. Krueger’s newsletter had other news as well. Today, the Pennsylvania Legislative Reapportionment Commission voted to end prison gerrymandering! State prisoners will be counted in their home districts, not where they are incarcerated. The Delaware County Wellness Center in Yeadon continues to offer all three Covid vaccines. Federal unemployment programs will be ending on September 4th. But apparently $20 million of Covid relief is available to the salon industry. Rep. Krueger’s newsletter also says that PennDOT will be clearing up litter along I-95 in the area just south of Garden City. Finally, Rep. Krueger’s newsletter says there remains an urgent need for blood donations.
