Today’s Community Events and More

There are two events this evening of interest to the community.

At 5:30, Superintendent Wagner is holding his last community conversation (at least for this round of them), at NPE. Anyone is welcome, and the weather looks like it’ll be nice for it. I believe its at the lunch tents.

The League of Women Voters of Central Delaware County is holding their County Council forum tonight at 7 pm, you can watch it on their Youtube channel here. Kevin Madden, Richard Womack, Frank Agovino, and Joe Lombardo are running for the two seats on the council.

The voter registration date passed yesterday for the Nov. 2nd election, but you can vote in person in Media at the Bureau of Elections or apply for a mail-in ballot until Oct 26th. The DelCo Times has been running articles on some of the county elections this year: row offices are here, the court of common pleas here, and the district judges here (wards 1 and 5 are in 32-1-30).

Finally, there are more events coming up. The WSSD is holding its finance and facilities meetings on Wednesday at 7 pm. The elementary school PTOs are holding a school board candidate forum on zoom on Thursday the 21st, but I haven’t seen a link to it yet. On Saturday the Garden City Fire Company is holding their Fall Festival from noon until 4 pm.
