Update – Due to inclement weather, movie night has been moved to July 10th at 7 pm.

Nether Providence is holding a series of events this summer to celebrate the township’s parks. At Hepford Park on July 9th at 7 pm, the township will be hosting a movie showing, I’ve heard it’s tentatively the Sandlot (but not decided for sure yet), and possibly ice cream. The flyer for the event is below (I haven’t seen the poll on Facebook yet).

This is also a chance to take a look at the new pirate-themed playground that’s been installed. I’ve heard it’s been a hit with the children.

The township is also selling Love Our Parks signs to raise awareness and funds for township parks. The parks commission has been very active in improving and promoting the township’s parks.

The South Media Fire Company continues to host their Food Truck Fridays on the first Friday of each month…usually. This time its the second Friday probably due to the holiday weekend. Coming up on July 8th from 5-8 pm is July’s Food Truck Friday. This month they’re having a new vendor – Ms. La’s Surf and Turf as well as Owl’s Water Ice and Treats.
