Chief Splain To Become President of PCPA

Nether Providence Police Chief David Splain has been announced as the next president of the Pennsylvania Chiefs of Police Association. The PCPA is a century-old association of command-level law enforcement officers in Pennsylvania. It oversees the accreditation process that the Nether Providence Police Department recently underwent as well as providing training. He will be officially sworn in at their annual conference next week.

This is just the latest in a series of leadership positions for Chief Splain as he approaches his tenth year as Nether Providence’s Police Chief next year,

Splain has served on the executive board of the Pennsylvania Chiefs of Police Association since 2018 and is currently the first vice president of the organization. His other involvement includes serving: on the executive board of the Police Chiefs Association of Southeastern Pennsylvania since 2016, as the president in 2020 and currently the association’s secretary; from 2015-2021 on the executive board of the Delaware County Police Chiefs Association and as the president in 2020; and as a member of the International Police Chiefs Association.
