This summer, Nether Providence Township built a new, pirate-themed playground at Hepford Park. The township is now starting work on a playground and rain garden at Gouley Park as part of the restoration efforts for the park there. The post says it should be finished by the end of September. The Parks commission is also looking at possible designs for a new playground at Martha Burton Park as well.
Together with existing playgrounds at NPE and WES and at Sapovitts, Bullens Lane and Smedley Parks, much of the township will be within walking distance of a playground soon.
