From state Sen. Kane’s website,

Nether Providence Township – $489,100 for Civic Access, ADA Improvements for Public Meetings: Nether Providence Township requested funds to provide accessibility updates to the township building, including the installation of an elevator/automatic door opener and renovations to the walls, windows, and roof of the building entrance.

This will greatly improve accessibility in the township building. Lately the new Red Cross guidelines have prevented the township from holding blood drives in their building due to too many stairs. This will resolve that issue and others and make the upstairs more usable for everyone. The walls and windows are in desperate need of repairs. Hopefully this will improve the building’s sustainability and lower heating and cooling costs.
